Ali's new do

I have been begging Ali to cut her hair for the past year, but she wanted it long. I understand that, but the long hair gets soooo snarly and straggly. I would do her hair EVERYDAY before school and she would come home looking very, how should I say it, very undone. I've been very frustrated about it for the past couple months and telling her I wanted to cut it. She would always cry and say she wanting it long. Well this last weekend her dad was out of town and she out of nowhere she said she wanted to cut it and surprise her dad. So I jumped at the chance and took her and cut it off. I love it! It is so easy to do and it stays how I do it all day long and I think it is very flattering to her face.

Easter Pics

Here are a lot of pictures of our Easter. We had a great morning discovering what the Easter Bunny brought us. For the rest of the day we got to watch conference, have a nice ham dinner, and even go to a baptism. We tried to go for a little walk in between sessions, but it was FREEZING for an Easter day. We were able to get a couple of pictures of the kids outside once we were all ready for the baptism.

Here are the kids decorating their eggs the day before. Grant thought it was so cool to drop them in and see them change color.

Easter morning and the kids' easter baskets.

Easter afternoon with their Easter clothes on.

Grant is into picking dandilions for us. I caught this cute picture of him giving Ali her flower.

Sorry!

I'm sorry to those of you who are just dying to see my finished product of my bench. I'm sure the suspense was killing you. I have been really busy!

After I finished my bench I decided to start right in on a bed for Grant. I did it ALL by myself and am very proud of my work. Right as I was trying to paint it and finish it up Danny and I got the itch to either build or buy a new house before the intrest rates go up. I have been wanting a new house for the past year, but he put me on the 2 year plan of saving every penny so we could have a nice down payment on the new house. Well, we have been looking for land and house plans and all that when we decided to go take a look at a new construction that was already built. Well, to make a long story short today we have an accepted offer on a new house and I am trying to get my house ready to go on the market Monday so we can sell it.

This is the only picture I took of the building process. This is the beginnings of the headboard and footboard with them all primed and sanded.

This is kinda the finished paintjob. I took this picture with my phone so the coloring is really bad, but the headboard and footboard are all finished. I brought them into Grant's room to put it all together and then I had to start cleaning the house to show sho they got taken back outside until I can find some time. P.S. I love the new bed. I think the finished product came out beautifully and I can't wait to make more things from the website knockoffwood.blogspot.com

I also painted Grant's room to this color and hopefully a bed will be in this cribs place in no time.
