SumMeR

Just a few pictures of us enjoying summer. We got to go swimming a lot this week and Grant is actually somewhat enjoying the pool.  He will even go under water without crying.

These are Grant's friends that we like to go hang out at the park with.  He is the oldest, but smallest of the three.

He made the grade!

Today my amazing husband participated in a bike race here in the valley.  It was called "make the grade" because it is a 20 mile race, but a 2000 ft vertical climb up the valley's grade.  He came in 13th place over about 200 people and did it in 1 hour 2 min.  Pretty good since the winner did it in about 57 min.  His bike has been out of commission for the past month so he felt a little out of shape, but I thought he did really good.

This is the hill he had to climb.

This is a picture from the top of the mountain that he climbed.  He started down by the river.

Sorry this one is so blurry.  You can blame it on me because I was trying to hold a crying baby and take a picture at the finish line or we will just say he was moving really fast!

SpoiLEd!

Ali's room is finally done.  She got everything she wanted and I think more.  I don't know why I spoil her so, but she is very excited for her new room.  She told me this morning that she was excited that her new room is organized and that everything has a place where it belongs.  Sharing her last small room with her little brother got a little squished and messy very often!  So we will see how this one goes.

Yes, that is a piano in her room.  It doesn't really match the rest of the room, but we don't have anywhere else to put it and Ali actually likes it.  So, I guess it will work there for now.

Mama

This post is mainly for Uncle Jakey.  I think he misses Grant a little bit because he keeps asking for more pictures of him.  So I decided to grab the camera this morning and take a few shots.  Not much is going on here.  It finally decided to get nice today and we got to go swimming at the neighbors pool.  Grant was a little unsure of the pool, but enjoyed the hot tub and all of the attention from the girls.  Ali is still up there swimming because I can't pull her away.  We are so excited for summer to finally come!

Here is a little video.  He must love me so much because all day long he calls my name, so I thought I would document it.

UH OH!!!!

Since Jake has moved out I have been getting his room ready for Ali to move downstairs.  She hasn't been too excited about it because it is in the basement where she would be all by herself.  So, to get her happy about it we told her she could decorate it anyway she wants.  She went to Home Depot and got a little Disney pamphlet and found the most pink room she could.  Here is a picture of the work in progress.  The reason it is still a work in progress is because we ran into some complications on Saturday.

I was just finishing up the dark pink ribbon on Saturday when Grant (who can not crawl) figured out a way to get to the paint can and pull it over on him and the carpet.
I always make fun of those moms who really think to take pictures of their kids when they have made a horrible disaster.  I always say that I would be too busy screaming and yelling to even think of taking pictures, but I did think of it after I threw Grant in the tub.  However, I didn't take it because he was cute.  I took it so his father could see him when he got home from work.  And as you can see there are tears in his eyes because there was screaming involved.

So now I guess Ali gets a completely new room with a new paint job and new carpet!  I will take pictures of the room when it is all done later.
