Family Photos!

So we have been married for over 10 years now and never had our family pictures done professionally.  So thanks to my friend Karina, who comes up with the BEST birthday presents ever, booked a professional sitting for my family.  It was a great excuse to get Daniel to sit for some pictures.  It is not his most favorite thing in the world, but he had to do it because it was for my birthday!  Rendy Tucker photography took these up in Spokane and we are tickled pink with the results.  We loved how they all turned out, but here are a few of my favorites.  I was waiting to get Christmas cards out before I posted these, but I couldn't wait any longer.  Sorry there are a lot, but enjoy.

2 more crafts

I got a little help this week decorating my Christmas tree.

Check out that one branch, there are like 10 ornaments on it :)

I made these picture frames out of some of my scraps and hopefully I can change the fabric and letters out for different holidays.  Because I used my scraps this one only cost me like 3 bucks.

This little sled was this weeks craft project.  I really like it, but Danny thinks it should be red so it would look like a sled instead of a tombstone.  Obviously not his favorite.

Thanksgiving Festivities

So we went home to Southeast Idaho for Thanksgiving this year.  The kids and I caught a ride with my brother on Sunday before Thanksgiving so that we would have a little extra time to vacation.  Danny joined us on Thanksgiving day.  We got lots of snow while we were there and Grant was so excited to go "snowing".  This is us enjoying the snow and "snowing".

Everyone needs a little soak after a cold day of sledding!

This is what is important to my family when it comes to Thanksgiving.  We love our PIES!  We only had a total of 9 people at our Thanksgiving dinner.  There are 2 pies per adult, that's ridiculous.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Another project

So for the past 3 days my friend and I have been working on this joy sign.  We saw something similar at a store and we didn't want to spend the $40 they were charging.  So we designed it and came up with this.  I think it turned out really cute, but I don't know if I would make another one cuz it was a lot of work!
For out Tuesday craft we made another 2x4 project.  We aren't going to use 2x4's every time.  We were suppose to make these trees when we made the snowmen last week, but ran out of time.  We had all the materials so we made this christmas tree today.

Here are all 3 projects together so far.  Danny says I need to slow down and limit myself or I'm going to burn out.  But I say we only have a few weeks till Christmas so we gotta keep moving :)

Tuesday Craft

I've been so excited to see all the crafts on the internet for Christmas.  So I decided I wanted to start working on some of them and I asked a couple friends to join me.  So this week we thought we would start off with an easy 2x4 craft.  We totally didn't expect it to take more than 2 hours, but we ended up taking almost 5 hours on these little guys.  I got the idea from a blog called undermypolkadotumbrella, you can check hers out here.  We changed it some and got kinda creative with it and I think it turned out great.  I guess I will have to share my cute craft everyweek, so keep an eye out for them :)

Also, I wanted to add a little picture of my frankenstein I made a couple weeks ago for Halloween.

November 1st has FINALLY arrived!

November 1st has been a long awaited day in this house.  Grant has been so excited for his birthday and couldn't wait for November 1st to come.  He had a day full of spoiling!
He woke up very early and was ready to open presents.  He got some fun things and played for a little bit while the rest of us got ready for the day.

We asked him where he wanted to go for his birthday and he chose to hit waffles n' more for breakfast where he enjoyed lots of whip cream.  Then we did some shopping and went and picked out his birthday cake, which he chose toy story cupcakes.  Then when his sister came home from school we went to the movies, dinner @ McDonalds and then home to finally eat those cupcakes.  He was definitely spoiled, but had a great birthday.  He already asked me this morning when his birthday was going to come again.

Halloween 2010

Hope everyone had a good weekend.  We had fun partying it up all weekend.  Grant is very into iron man this year and was so tickled to find an iron man costume in his size.
Ali didn't really care what she was, she just went down the isle at Walmart and picked something in her size.  She did like that her sorceress costume had big, long sleeves.
And Daniel, we don't know about him.  I think he reached down to his roots this Halloween and had some fun.  Everyone kept saying that his voice he used sounded a little too natural.  Creepy!
The kids got a TON of candy and had a great time.  I guess that is all that matters!
