Easter

Hope Everyone had a happy Easter.  Here's my kids in their new easter duds.  I thought they were pretty cute, but I am their mother.  We had a nice day at church and had a good dinner with friends. 

Ali got spoiled by the easter bunny this year!  Hope she enjoyed it because she isn't an only child anymore.

I took this picture because this is how Ali babysits Grant.  They sit on the floor in my room and watch the tv that is up on the wall.  Even Grant has now found the tv and it gives me a minute or two to myself.

Seattle

Ali, Grant, and I decided to tag along on a little trip to Seattle with my brother and mother.  We were suppose to go for 3 days.  We went to all of the attractions the space needle, library, Columbia center (tallest building in Washington), children's museum, and lots of shopping.  The kids were pretty good for the most part.  On the way home we stopped for gas and then the car wouldn't start again.  So we had to get towed 30 miles to Yakima and get a hotel there and hang out an extra day while the car was being fixed.  It was stressful, but we made the most of it.  We had to laugh at my mom and brother riding backwards in the car as it was being towed because there wasn't enough room in the tow truck.  In the moment I forgot to get a picture, but you can imagine them seat belted into the car.  Everyone that passed us on the freeway got a kick out of it.

Solids

So Grant went in for his 4 month appointment last Friday.  He weighed in at 12 lbs. 15 oz. and was 25 inches tall.  The doctor suggested trying a little cereal and so we did.  I don't know how much he liked it, but it was messy.  

Jake's mission call

My brother Jake has been living with us for the past 6 months while going to school.  He just got his mission call yesterday.  None of our family was here to see him open it so I thought I would post a little video for them.  He is very excited!

Walking?

So, Ali tells me Grant is learning how to walk and I come in the room to find this.  Ali loves to tote Grant around and while she looks like she isn't being very careful, she really is.  And it looks like Grant doesn't seem to mind.

 

Mornings

OK, so I am probably posting too much stuff, but I want to show my kids off.  I think I take more pictures now so that I can put them on my blog, but that isn't a bad thing.  

Grant exploded this morning and it was too early to get the kids bathed, so I just changed him and put him in his bath robe.  As you can see, it doesn't really cover much, but he is cute in it.  And you will all be happy to know that both kids were bathed and cleaned up at a more reasonable hour, 7.   

Does anyone else think Grant is getting a little too big for Ali to tote around?  She doesn't think so!

  

Spring?

It has been so beautiful the past couple of days we decided to go for a little walk along the river.  I couldn't believe how nice it was.  With such gorgeous days I get spring fever and I just know tomorrow we will have cold, bad weather.  So we decided to enjoy it while we could.

            Grant and his friend Kelsi enjoyed the sun by sleeping, but I'm not complaining.
